Phillips ends home run drought, moves up to 12th in Reds franchise history

With his first long ball in 72 games, Brandon Phillips ended a career-long drought and climbed up another spot on the franchise's home run list.
It had been nearly four months since the Reds second baseman last left the yard this season, but Saturday night he delivered a hot shot to left field in his first at-bat to tie things up at one apiece for Cincinnati and move up to 12th place all-time in team history with 187 total home runs.

The solo shot broke a tie with former Reds great Vada Pinson.
Later on in the seventh inning, Phillips blasted another one to record his first multi-home run game since May 7.
It's only fitting that Phillips broke the streak, as he's been heating up at the plate with a torrid start to the month of August.
