FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- With the start of the 2014-15 NHL regular season just over a week away, FOX Sports Florida, the regional television home of the Florida Panthers, will be providing the perfect countdown to opening night by introducing "Panthers Week" for hockey fans throughout South Florida.

"Panthers Week" will begin on Friday, Oct. 3rd at 6:30 p.m. with the premiere of the "Florida Panthers Preseason Special." From the debut of the preseason special through Wednesday evening, Oct. 8th, FOX Sports Florida will feature more than 30 hours of Panthers programming, including replays of six of the best Panthers victories from last season. All the coverage will lead Panthers fans up to the Thursday, Oct. 9th season opener versus the rival Tampa Bay Lightning.

The "Florida Panthers Preseason Special" will be a must-watch show to start "Panthers Week" as it features interviews with new Head Coach Gerard Gallant, as well as Panthers teammates Roberto Luongo, Nick Bjugstad, Erik Gudbranson, Jonathan Huberdeau, Brian Campbell, Aleksander Barkov and Brad Boyes. Analyst Bill Lindsay will also introduce the new additions to the Panthers roster in Willie Mitchell, Al Montoya, Jussi Jokinen, Dave Bolland, Shawn Thornton and Derek MacKenzie. Rejoining the FOX Sports Florida Panthers broadcast team this season, color analyst Denis Potvin highlights the Cats revamped roster with Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon in a 1-on-1 interview. Hosted by Drew Goldfarb and produced by Frank Forte, the "Florida Panthers Preseason Special" concludes with play-by-play announcer Steve "Goldie" Goldstein in a "round table" discussion with Potvin and Lindsay about the team's outlook for the season and what they have to do to make the NHL playoffs.
