Panthers reassign F Rocco Grimaldi to San Antonio

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Florida Panthers Executive Vice-President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has reassigned F Rocco Grimaldi to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Grimaldi, 21, scored his first National Hockey League goal last night in Florida's 3-2 shootout loss to the Nashville Predators. The Rossmoor, California, native has played in seven games for the Panthers season, scoring one goal with 18 shots, while logging 12:36 TOI. He has appeared in 13 games with San Antonio this season registering six points (3-3-6).

Grimaldi was drafted by Florida in the second round (33rd overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.

Florida opens a three-game home stand on Monday, Nov. 24, when they host the Minnesota Wild at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen live on Fox Sports Florida and heard on 560 WQAM and 106.3 ESPN.
