Padres announce departure of president and CEO Mike Dee

SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Padres announced Wednesday morning that they have parted ways with team president and CEO Mike Dee. No specific reason was provided by the team, aside from the following team statement and a quote by Padres managing partner Peter Seidler provided to the Union-Tribune.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE SAN DIEGO PADRES:

"San Diego Padres Executive Chairman Ron Fowler and Managing Partner Peter Seidler today announced the departure of Padres President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Dee."

The team made the announced around 10 a.m. PT Wednesday.
