The Green Bay Packers on Monday signed safety Chris Banjo and receiver Omarius Hines. Those moves helped lead to safety Ryan McMahon getting waived.

Banjo, a 5-foot-10, 207-pound rookie out of Southern Methodist University, signed with Jacksonville as a free agent in April before being waived on July 25. He earned honorable mention All-Conference USA recognition at SMU as a senior in 2011 after recording 82 tackles (50 solo), two passes defensed and two fumble recoveries. He will wear No. 32 for the Packers.

Hines, a 6-foot, 215-pound rookie out of the University of Florida, signed with Baltimore as a non-drafted free agent in May before being waived by the Ravens on July 22. He appeared in 51 games with nine starts during his career at Florida and caught 64 passes for 801 yards and four TDs. Hines also rushed for 323 yards and four TDs on 33 carries (9.8 avg.) during his career, the third-most rushing yards by a receiver in school history. He will wear No. 5 for the Packers.
