OU offensive coordinator Riley: We want you to blitz us

Texas had six sacks Saturday against the Sooners in the Cotton Bowl.

That's the most Texas has ever had in the game against Oklahoma.

So, what does Oklahoma offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley think about that?

"If you had us pick, we'd rather you blitz us," Riley said earlier this week. "There ere a lot of holes and a lot of opportunities that when we're operating at a high level, we feel like we can take advantage of. We didn't. We did not do a good enough job of making Texas pay."

Oklahoma had less than 300 yards of total offense against the Longhorns, including less than 70 yards rushing. The offensive line has taken a lot of criticism in the past week, too.

"We have to play with that chip on our shoulder," center Ty Darlington said. "We needed to come out strong and show them we were better. We didn't do that. They did that to us. It's something we'll have to focus on going forward."

Meanwhile, quarterback Baker Mayfield, who was under pressure constantly from the Longhorns, took some of the blame on himself.

"I just got to get the ball out of my hands quicker," Mayfield said. "I could have helped the O line a little more. I got to be smart. It's football. That's what I signed up for."
