Oklahoma WR Sterling Shepard to sit vs. Baylor

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 5:44 p.m. ET

Oklahoma receiver Sterling Shepard will not play against Baylor after injuring his groin in last week's game at Iowa State.

Oklahoma has been hopeful he would play on Saturday and Shepard dressed for the game and went through warmups. After doing so, the Sooners decided he would not be available.

Shepard has 957 yards and five touchdowns on 50 catches and has 13 plays from scrimmage longer than 30 yards this season. No player in a Power 5 league has more.
