Oddsmakers now favor Royals to win another AL pennant

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Royals are already the defending American League champions. Now they're favored to do it again.
In the latest odds released by Bovada, the Royals have 13/4 odds to win the AL, the best odds in the AL. Detroit is 11/2, while Houston is 7/1 and the Angels are 9/1. In May 6's release of odds, Detroit was favored ahead of Kansas City.
Unsurprisingly, the Royals are also favored to win the AL Central, as 1/1 favorites ahead of Detroit's 2/1 odds. They were previously co-favorites with the Tigers at 11/10.
Eric Hosmer and Lorenzo Cain are both 25/1 long shots to win the AL Most Valuable Player award. Hosmer was previously 12/1 and Cain was 16/1.
Kansas City sits in second place in the AL Central behind Minnesota by half a game. The Royals finished May 14-12 but still hold the third-best record in the AL.
