The Bucks pulled within three with just 13 seconds remaining in the game, but a late free throw from free-agent forward Jonathan Holmes put the game out of reach.

D.J. Stephens -- who spent a few days with the Bucks on a 10-day contract in 2014 -- led the Grizzlies in scoring with 21 points off of the bench.

Starting five: Petteway and first-round pick Thon Maker started at forward for the Bucks, alongside center Joshua Smith, as well as guards Brogdon and Vaughn.

Draft-pick report: Brogdon shot 7-for-12 from the field, while playing 32:08. His 15 points ranked third on the team behind Vaughn and Petteway. Maker led the Bucks in rebounding once again with six, while picking up 10 points and going 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.

Stats corner: The Grizzlies outscored the Bucks 36-24 in the paint... Memphis also outscored Milwaukee 45-11 off of the bench... The Bucks committed 13 turnovers while the Grizzlies had 15.
