National championship ticket prices fall, site says

While not a bargain by any means, tickets for next Monday's national championship game between Oregon and Ohio State are about as reasonably priced as they can be.

According to the average ticket price for the game has dropped more than 27 percent since the national semifinal games.

The average ticket price now is $1,176.34, which is down from $1,621.84 after wins by the Ducks and Buckeyes on Jan. 1.

That's the second cheapest average ticket price of the last five championship games. The only game with a cheaper average price was last year's matchup between Auburn and Florida State ($907.48). The get-in price for the game at AT&T Stadium is $548.

Now if you do want to spend the big bucks, there are suites for $99,000 and a ticket in Section 210 can set you back more than $10,000.

If you're trying to figure out which team will have the biggest fan base, 25 percent of people visiting the site are from Ohio, the company announced. Only 19 percent are from Oregon.
