NASCAR drivers pen 'Thank You' notes to our troops
Daniel Hemric just wanted to say thanks.
As part of the "NASCAR Salutes" campaign, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver picked up a pen and crafted a special note to the servicemembers - past and present - who help keep our country safe.
"We are very privileged to live in a country where people are willing to fight for our freedom and safety," said Hemric. "I am blessed to do what I do for a living and the only way that any of us have that opportunity is because people are protecting us overseas and at home. A letter of thanks is the least I can do to acknowledge their sacrifice."
Sprint Cup Series driver Sam Hornish Jr. is another driver who expressed his gratitude.
