Mentor beats St. Edward to advance to state championship game

SportsTime Ohio is your home for the OHSAA Playoffs and last night's Division I, Region I regional final/state semifinal between Mentor and St. Edward was one for the ages. In the end, the Cardials came away victorious. The final score: Mentor 41, St. Edward 38.

Mentor and St. Edward turned InfoCision Stadium on the
University of
Akron campus into a punch palace, combining for 79 points, 60 first
downs and 1,161 total yards in a frenetic playoff game that was
exhausting, exhilarating and excruciating, depending on which side you
were on.
Mentor quarterback Conner Krizancic was unstoppable,
accounting for 500
yards himself. Krizancic had 147 yards rushing and 353 yards passing. He
ran for two touchdowns and passed for two
touchdowns.
