Mayfield, Striker named Sporting News All-Americans

Baker Mayfield didn't win the Heisman Trophy or get voted an Associated Press All-American, but the Sooner quarterback, along with linebacker Eric Striker, were named to the Sporting News All-American team.
Mayfield was also picked as an All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
He threw for 35 touchdowns and ran for seven more in leading Oklahoma to an 11-1 record and a spot in the national semifinals.
Striker was a second-team selection by the Associated Press. The All-Big 12 performer has 7.5 sacks this season and 16 tackles for losses. He has 61 tackles total this season, as well as an interceptions and a forced fumble.
Zack Sanchez, OU's junior cornerback, was picked as a second-team All-American by the Sporting News. He has six interceptions in 10 games this season. Twice Sanchez had two interceptions in a game.
