Marlins righty Kendry Flores leaves after 3rd inning with shoulder strain
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Miami Marlins right-hander Kendry Flores exited Saturday's doubleheader nightcap against the Nationals with a right shoulder strain.
Recalled from Triple-A New Orleans to serve as the Marlins' 26th player and Game 2 starter, Flores went three innings in his 2016 debut.
He allowed one hit, walked three and left with a 3-0 lead. The team said he is day-to-day.
Flores, 24, posted a 4.97 ERA in seven games with Miami in 2015.
Washington won the opener 6-4.
