Lightning trade Evgeni Nabokov to Sharks for future considerations

TAMPA, Fla. --” The Tampa Bay Lightning traded reserve goaltender Evgeni Nabokov to the San Jose Sharks on Monday in exchange for future considerations.

Nabokov, 39, had a 3-6-2 record with an .882 save percentage and a 2.44 goals-against average in 11 games with Tampa Bay this season. The Lightning placed Nabokov on waivers on Feb. 1 and called up goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy from the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch the same day.

Nabokov played 563 of his 697 career games with the Sharks from 1999 to 2010. He has a career record of 353-227-29-71 with a .911 save percentage and a 2.44 goals-against average.
