Lightning claim goalie Kevin Poulin off waivers from Islanders

TAMPA BAY -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have claimed goaltender Kevin Poulin off waivers from the New York Islanders today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced. The team also released goaltender Ray Emery from his professional tryout.

Poulin, a native of Montreal, Quebec, has appeared in 50 games, all with the Islanders, posting a .899 save percentage and a 3.07 goals-against average. The 25-year-old was drafted by New York in the fifth round, 126th overall, of the 2008 NHL Draft.
