Kluber reaches Indians milestone

While Monday night's start probably isn't one Corey Kluber will want to remember, he did reach a point of distinction in his Cleveland Indians career.
With his sixth inning strikeout of Danny Escobar, Kluber notched the 700th of his career.

It placed his name next to an Indians legend, that guy who has his own statue at the ballpark.
In his Cy Young campaign last season, Kluber set down 269 hitters, second only to David Price in all of baseball.
Through 214 innings this season, Kluber has struck out 236 batters, good for third best in the American League and fifth in all of baseball.
His ERA, however, is more than a point higher and his record is 8-16.
