TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State fans tend to express profuse indignation when confused with their in-state rival to the South, Arizona (and vice versa), but we have to think Sun Devil fans got a laugh out of this one.

As numerous broadcasters and TV graphics people have in the past, the American Football Coaches Association apparently got the two desert schools mixed up, as former Arizona running back Ka'Deem Carey's All-America plaque ended up at ASU.

ASU media relations assistant Maggie Emmons had a little fun with the mistake:

Someone in Arizona's media relations department pretty much nailed the response:

And, of course, Emmons -- an ASU graduate -- took the opportunity to remind everyone who won last year's game for the Territorial Cup and talk a little early trash talk.

OK, so let's wrap this up with one last public service announcement: The University of Arizona's teams call themselves Wildcats and are located in Tucson; Arizona State University is located in Tempe and is home to the Sun Devils.

(We wonder whether the Gators and Seminoles have to go through this every year?)
