Jimmie Johnson to Dale Jr.: 'Superman is going to kick Batman's butt'

When the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Auto Club Speedway next weekend, Hendrick Motorsports teammates Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will square off in rival superhero paint schemes.
Six-time champ Johnson will have a Superman paint scheme, while NASCAR's perennially most popular driver will carry Batman colors. The tricked out cars are part of a promotion for the film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
Friday morning at Phoenix International Raceway, Johnson sounded awfully confident about his chances at Southern California next week.
"I didn't have a say, but I was very happy to end up with Superman," said Johnson asked if got to choose which superhero he wanted to rep. "I think (former Hendrick teammate) Mark Martin called me that years ago, and some have used that reference in a nickname from time to time. I feel like it was much more fitting than Batman. Superman is going to kick Batman's butt, bottom line."
