J.T. Barrett earns record sixth B1G Freshman of the Week honor
It seems like every week now Ohio State's J.T. Barrett is bringing home awards from the Big Ten Conference.
This week, Barrett won his sixth Freshman of the Week honor tying a record set by former Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase in 2010.

Barrett accounted for 389 total yards and four touchdowns in Saturday's 31-24 win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers. With 189 rushing yards, Barrett set a school record for rushing yards by a quarterback, highlighted by this 86-yard TD run.
If not for Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon breaking the single game FBS rushing record with 408 yards, Barrett probably would have had a good shot at bringing home another B1G Player of the Week.
