Iversen upsets favorites to win cross-country WCup sprint

LAHTI, Finland (AP) Emil Iversen won the men's cross-country World Cup sprint race on Saturday, upsetting a trio of favorites.
The Norwegian left behind him compatriots Finn Haagen Krogh and Petter Northug, who came second and third respectively.
Italian Federico Pellegrino, the only non-Norwegian in a six-man final, was fourth and still leads the overall sprint standings, ahead of Northug.
In the women's race, Maiken Caspersen Falla of Norway took her sixth victory in seven starts, beating American Jessica Diggins. Norway's Heidi Weng was third.
