'Inside the Heat: Goran Dragic' premieres Jan. 9 on FOX Sports Sun
MIAMI -- On Saturday, Jan. 9 at 11:30 p.m., FOX Sports Sun, the regional television home of the Miami HEAT, will debut a new episode of "Inside the HEAT" upon conclusion of the Miami vs. Utah Jazz game. Titled "Goran Dragic," this all-new episode takes a peak into the life of the Slovenian native and HEAT point guard.
Join "Inside the HEAT" and host Jason Jackson as we spend some time with Goran taking a look at photos that spark memories of his childhood alongside his parents and brother Zoran in Ljubljana. We explore how his professional basketball career began at age 16 in various club teams in Europe, and how NBA scouts began to notice his basketball skills. Goran gives us insight on how important it is for him to leave his imprint on Slovenia, whether it's giving back to the youth or representing his country on the national team.
We then learn about his path to the United States as he began his NBA career in Phoenix where Steve Nash took him under his wing. Goran discusses his journey to Houston, and then back to Phoenix, where his dream of being a starting point guard in the NBA came to fruition. Finally, we spend some time discussing how much he enjoys Miami and why being with the HEAT long term is important to him. Goran tells us about his unique relationship with the captain, Dwyane Wade, and even shares how him and his teammates made history this season.
