Happy birthday, Mr. H! Rick Hendrick celebrates 66th birthday
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is enjoying a much-needed Sunday away from the racetrack, and we wish one team owner in particular a very happy birthday, Rick Hendrick.
Hendrick has gone from a determined local car salesman with a passion for racing, to one of the most successful team owners in NASCAR history. Since forming Hendrick Motorsports with Geoffrey Bodine as his driver in 1984, Hendrick has earned 11 Sprint Cup titles, eight Daytona 500 and nine Brickyard 400 victories, 237 wins, 965 top fives, 1,602 top 10s and 204 poles.
Along with Bodine, Hendrick's list of drivers include NASCAR Hall of Fame member Darrell Waltrip, 2016 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Terry Labonte, four-time champion Jeff Gordon, six-time champion Jimmie Johnson, fan-favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne, Tim Richmond, Ricky Rudd, Ken Schrader, Casey Mears, and more.
Here's hoping Mr. H is enjoying his 66th birthday in style.
