Former OU quarterback speaks out at Utah

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 12:14 a.m. ET

Former Oklahoma quarterback Kendal Thompson said he has no regrets after leaving the Sooners before the 2014 season.

Thompson, the son of former Oklahoma quarterback Charles Thompson, played two games for the Sooners in 2013 and then decided to transfer to Utah. He has played in just 10 games of Utah, throwing for three touchdowns and three interceptions over the past two seasons.

"I'm a football guy," Kendal said to Utezone.com. "Whether I'm playing, whether I'm injured, whatever it is, I'm always trying to help out the team, whatever it is. In the film room, on the sideline, even when I'm not in, being the extra set of eyes that helps out whoever is out there."
