Brett Favre is back in the NFL. Well, on the NFL Network, at least.
The retired former Packers-Jets-Vikings quarterback and three-time NFL Most Valuable Player will be a guest analyst on the network's all-day coverage Sunday leading up to the Super Bowl.
Favre has mostly avoided these types of television opportunities since retiring from the league -- for good this time -- two years ago. Though, in an interview in May 2011 with KDAM-TV in his hometown of Hattiesburg, Miss., Favre did say he wanted to work in television in the coming years.
This year's Super Bowl matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens is being played in New Orleans, the city where Favre won his only NFL championship in 1997.
