Ducks sign defenseman Sami Vatanen to two-year contract

The Ducks signed defenseman Sami Vatanen to a two-year contract on Tuesday.

Vatanen, a native of Jyvaskyla, Finland, tied for fifth in goals and sixth in plus/minus among rookie NHL defensemen last season.

He also won a bronze medal in his first Olympic Winter Games earlier this year in Sochi, Russia.
