Donald Trump is getting inducted into the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame

Credited with helping make Atlantic City, N.J., the capital of the boxing world in the 1980s, Donald Trump will be inducted into the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame (NJBHOF) on Nov. 12.

According to the NJBHOF, The Donald had a large role in establishing Atlantic City as a boxing destination with many Mike Tyson fights and other prominent bouts. Tyson victimized six of his first 10 opponents in Atlantic City over a four-month stretch in 1985 and returned to issue more beatings thereafter.

Trump's ego always has more room to grow, but NJBHOF president Henry Hascup doesn't expect the real estate magnate and 2016 presidential hopeful to show at the ceremony.

"I think it's highly doubtful [Trump will attend], but you never know," Hascup said. "I'm waiting until things on the campaign front calm down a little bit before I try to call somebody who can talk to him about maybe clearing a spot on his calendar to come to our event."

The other 13 inductees include "Irish" Mickey Ward whose career was highlighted by his trilogy against Arturo Gatti. Ward's life and career became the subject of the the 2010 Academy Award-nominated film "The Fighter" (seven nominations) starring Mark Wahlberg as Ward.
