One of the NFL's great stories from last season is getting even better in the offseason.

Leah Still, the cancer-stricken daughter of Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still who became a rallying point for a team and a city, recently had an MIBG scan, which searches the body for tumors.

On Tuesday night, Still posted this to Instagram:

As Devon indicated, the waiting is not done yet -- as he emphasized in a tweet on Wednesday.

But the most recent results show that his determination to "keep fighting no matter what," after the family learned in January Leah's treatment was not as successful as doctors hoped, is paying off.

Leah was diagnosed with Stage IV neuroblastoma last June and has undergone surgery and treatments ever since. Devon was cut from the Bengals prior to the 2014 season, but was signed to the practice squad in order to keep his NFL health insurance. He became a member of the active roster on Sept. 10.

Word of the Still's story spread throughout the NFL and coaches, fans, and players rallied together raising over $1.3 million in donations for pediatric cancer research through sales of Still's No. 75 jersey.

New Orleans coach Sean Payton bought 100 jerseys by himself, and other teams honored the Stills throughout the season. On Oct. 5 the New England Patriots cheerleaders wore Still jerseys and the team played a tribute video during the game. Patriots owner Robert Kraft also donated $25,000 to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Colts owner Jim Irsay donated $10,000 dollars to Still's cause.

Just last month, Leah even got the opportunity to meet LeBron James during NBA All-Star weekend.

A week ago, the Bengals decided not to offer Devon a restricted-free-agent tender, but want him to return for the 2015 season.

Hopefully this latest news means Devon and Leah Still finally can stop fighting. #LeahStrong
