Dallas Stars first-round playoff series on FOX Sports Southwest
FOX Sports Southwest announced coverage plans for the Dallas Stars' first round of the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs.
Every game of the first round series against the Minnesota Wild will be televised on FOX Sports Southwest across the network's entire Southwest footprint covering Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
Texas Rangers games scheduled on FOX Sports Southwest that conflict with Stars playoff games will be moved to FOX Sports Southwest Plus, FOX Sports Southwest's companion channel that allows multiple events to be shown simultaneously on two channels.
FOX Sports Southwest will televise one-hour STARS LIVE pregame shows for home games from the South Plaza at the American Airlines Center and 30-minute pregame shows for road games and STARS LIVE postgame shows for all games.
Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Daryl "Razor" Reaugh (analyst) will call the games on FOX Sports Southwest. Handling pregame, intermission and postgame duties on STARS LIVE will be host Josh Bogorad alongside analysts and former Stars Craig Ludwig, Brent Severyn and Stu Barnes and reporter Julie Dobbs.
Texas Rangers games moved to FOX Sports Southwest Plus due to overlap with Stars playoff games will be available to all video providers that carry FOX Sports Southwest Plus. Rangers games also will be streamed on FOX Sports GO available to authenticated customers of participating pay-TV providers.
FOX Sports Southwest Plus is offered in high-definition to all video providers that carry FOX Sports Southwest. Some providers carry FOX Sports Southwest Plus as a 24-hour full-time channel, while others choose to offer selected FOX Sports Southwest Plus programming and designate a local channel to show the events.
