You better believe drivers pay attention to what other drivers say on social media.

During his media availability Friday morning at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, I asked Martin Truex Jr. of Furniture Row Racing about how much different the changeover from Chevrolet to Toyota was for him as a driver.

Truex said there were a lot of changes, ranging from doing debriefs with the Joe Gibbs Racing drivers now instead of the Richard Childress Racing guys last year, to adjusting to the new digital dashboards and the different front-end geometry the team is running this year.

"A lot of the stuff that we have done so far is stuff we did last year, but the car itself and all the parts and pieces are so much different than what we had last year that it takes adapting to on the setup side as well," Truex said.

But Dale Earnhardt Jr. nailed the big difference for Truex this year. A new manufacturer means a new ride on the street, not just the race car.
