D-backs to begin reporting to camp on Feb. 20
The Arizona Diamondbacks announced reporting dates Friday for their second spring training at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Pitchers and catchers will report on Feb. 20, with their first workout to be held Feb. 21. Position players will report on Feb. 25, with the first full-squad workout to be held Feb. 26.
Workouts are open to the public.
The club has 20 non-roster invitees for camp along with the players currently on the 40-man roster. The breakdown of non-roster invitees includes nine pitchers, three catchers, five infielders and three outfielders.
Pitchers: right-handers Charles Brewer, Mike DeMark, Chris Jakubauskas, Jensen Lewis, Evan Marshall and Kevin Munson and left-handers Patrick Corbin, Jason Lane and Tyler Skaggs.
Catchers: Ryan Budde, Ed Easley, Rossmel Perez.
Infielders: Matt Davidson, Chris Owings, Cody Ransom, Rusty Ryal, Ryan Wheeler.
Outfielders: Adam Eaton, Marc Krauss, A.J. Pollock.
The D-backs will open the Cactus League exhibition season on March 3 with a pair of split-squad games, one against the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and one against the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium.
