D-backs get little love in FOX Sports predictions

The Diamondbacks' off-season upgrade raised plenty of eyebrows, but few in the nation's sporting media are buying the notion that they'll be raising a pennant this fall at Chase Field.
That goes for FOX Sports' esteemed national baseball crew.
FOXSports.com unveiled its annual predictions on Thursday from an esteemed panel featuring:
-- Ken Rosenthal, FOX Sports' senior MLB writer/reporter;
-- Jon Paul Morosi, FOX Sports and MLB Network reporter;
-- C.J. Nitkowski, FS1 MLB analyst;
-- Chris Myers, FOX Sports broadcaster;
-- Jason Dovitz, FOX Sports MLB social media producer;
-- And you! The MLB on FOX Facebook fan who participated in polls over the last two days to help us out.
Four of the six "experts" picked the Giants to win the NL West, two picked the Dodgers, and none picked the D-backs.
Morosi and Nitkowski picked the D-backs to earn a wild-card berth, but the rest had them missing out on the playoffs for a fifth consecutive year.
By the way, the Cubs are the preseason darling of just about everyone, and that includes us. They got three votes as World Series champs, with one each going to the Cardinals, the Pirates and the defending champion Royals.
But D-backs fans needn't lose too much sleep worrying about what's said in March. As Morosi is quick to point out, he had the Mariners winning the World Series at this time a year ago.
