The past three D-backs/FOX Sports Arizona
broadcast fundraisers have combine to raise more than a quarter of a
million dollars to support local charities.
FOX
Sports Arizona's coverage begins Tuesday at 6 p.m. from Chase
Field.
September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month,
and this telecast will lend support to Goldschmidt and his wife, Amy,
who are actively involved with the Pediatric Cancer Unit at Phoenix
Children’s Hospital. On Sunday, Amy will be a guest with Jody Jackson
and Cindy Brunson on the “Diamondbacks Live” pre-game show at 12:30 p.m.
to discuss their efforts to help PCH. Then on Tuesday, Paul and Amy
will have a sit-down interview to tell why they became involved with PCH
and how fans can lend their support to one of the top
children’s hospitals in the country.
During
next Tuesday’s game telecast, Jake Harvey will join Steve Berthiaume
and Bob Brenly in the booth and talk about the support he received from
the Goldschmidts while he was a patient at Phoenix Children’s Hospital
undergoing treatment for leukemia.
