D-backs call up PCL MVP Adam Eaton
The Diamondbacks on Tuesday called up outfielder Adam Eaton from Triple-A Reno and transferred catcher Henry Blanco to the 60-day disabled list.
Eaton, 23, was named the Pacific Coast League Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year for Reno, which he joined after playing the first 11 games of 2012 for Double-A Mobile. In 119 games at Reno, he's hitting .381 with a .456 on-base percentage, 46 doubles, five triples, seven home runs and 38 stolen bases. He's scored 119 runs and driven in 45.

The 5-foot-8, 184-pound Eaton was a 19th-round draft pick of the Diamondbacks in 2010. He has a .355 career average in three minor league season, hitting .300 or better at every level. He has 83 doubles, 16 triples, 24 home runs and 98 stolen bases in 319 games over three seasons.
He will wear No. 6 for the Diamondbacks.
