Coyotes call up Klinkhammer, assign Rundblad

The Coyotes on Friday recalled forward Rob Klinkhammer from the team's AHL affiliate in Portland and sent down defenseman David Rundblad.

The 6-foot-3, 214-pound Klinkhammer has appeared in 53 games with the Pirates this season, collecting 14 goals and 30 assists for a team-leading 44 points. He is tied for tenth in the AHL in points and leads Portland in assists while ranking third on the team in goals.

The 26-year-old Klinkhammer has played 16 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators, tallying two assists. He signed with the Coyotes as a free agent on July 13, 2012.

Rundblad has appeared in eight games with the Coyotes this season.
