CHLA, LA Kings, FOX Sports West team up for second annual fundraising event
The Los Angeles Kings, in partnership with FOX Sports West, will launch the second annual day of giving dedicated to raising funds for Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) on Saturday, Dec. 5 when the LA Kings host the Pittsburgh Penguins. The charitable themed day ('One Day For CHLA') is set to begin at 12 p.m. prior to the 1 p.m. puck drop; and the money raised throughout the afternoon will go directly to Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
Viewers and fans alike who wish to participate, can donate by texting 'KINGS' to 91999 and by visiting here. Fans who attend the game will also have the opportunity to receive a special Kings/CHLA-themed beanie hat with a $25 text donation. For every fan who gets a beanie, one beanie will be donated to a CHLA patient. Furthermore, fans who donate $75 or more via text while at the game, can fill out an entry form for a chance to win an exclusive Kings prize pack. This offer is good while supplies last, and beanies must be picked up at designated locations in STAPLES Center during the game.
The Kings' remarkable support of Children's Hospital Los Angeles spans decades. The money raised during the game on Saturday, will be dedicated to the life-saving care that is available to every child who needs it through the Helping Hands Fund. Click for more information.
