'Building the Pack' to show never-seen look at Coyotes camp
PHOENIX -- Hockey fans will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes with an exclusive look at the Arizona Coyotes preseason in "Coyotes Camp: Building the Pack" on FOX Sports Arizona.
The show will provide fans with a look at the Coyotes' players, coaches and management as well as never-before-seen access to the Coyotes dressing room, weight room, players' lounge and team plane.
FOX Sports Arizona will debut the first show of the three-part series on Monday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. The second episode will debut Tuesday Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., and the final part will debut Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m.
The series follows the team from the beginning of Rookie Camp on Sept. 12 through the end of Veterans Camp on Oct. 3. The Coyotes all-access show features highlights and footage from all eight of the Coyotes preseason games, including road trips to Anaheim, Edmonton, San Jose and Vancouver and the Coyotes' Kraft Hockeyville game vs. the Calgary Flames in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
Every aspect of training camp and preseason is seen in the series, including management and coach's process of choosing a roster, game preparation and the action on the ice.
"The show is a look into the Coyotes room that nobody has ever seen," FOX Sports Arizona producer Graham Taylor said. "The show will be fresh to the viewer's eyes because we were able to have microphones and cameras in places where there usually isn't access."
Players and coaches were mic'd up and GoPro cameras were set up for practices and games, offering a unique viewing experience. Fans also get the chance to see the Coyotes players away from the rink, in settings such as their homes and the bowling alley, showcasing their personalities.
All three of the "Coyotes Camp: Building the Pack" shows will be 30 minutes in length, and FOX Sports Arizona will show all three episodes in succession (a 90-minute show) immediately after the conclusion of the Coyotes home opener against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, Oct. 9. FOX Sports Arizona will repeat the 90-minute show again following the Coyotes vs. Los Angeles Kings game on Saturday, Oct. 11.
