Longtime Coyotes fan favorite and tough guy Paul Bissonnette has been unable to secure new employment in the NHL and is heading back to Wales to join the Cardiff Devils of the Elite Ice Hockey League.
Bissonnette played with the Devils for 11 games during the 2012 NHL lockout, posting six goals and 21 points and achieving cult-hero-like status among the Welsh.
Cardiff announced the signing Friday, saying Bissonnette can opt out of his deal if he has an NHL offer.

He is expected to be in the house for Saturday's Coyotes-Panthers game at Gila River Arena and leave for Wales on Oct. 31.
