POTCHEFSTROOM, South Africa (AP) Bangladesh was 49-3 in the first test against South Africa at stump on Day 4 on Sunday, still 375 runs short of its victory target of 424.

Bangladesh 320 all out (Mominul Haque 77, Mahmudullah 66; Keshav Maharaj 3-92) and 49-3 (Imrul Kayes 32, Morne Morkel 2-19) trails South Africa 496-3 declared (Dean Elgar 199, Hashim Amla 137; Shafiul Islam 1-74) and 247-6 declared (Faf du Plessis 81, Temba Bavuma 71; Mominul 3-27) by 374 runs.
