Audra Martin joins FOX Sports North
FOX Sports North announced Wednesday that Audra Martin has joined the broadcast team as a sideline reporter and host for the regional sports network, primarily covering the Minnesota Wild and the Minnesota Twins. Martin will be introduced to viewers on Sunday, Oct. 18, and make her Wild Live hosting debut on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Martin moves to the Twin Cities from Nashville, where she worked as a sports anchor and reporter at WKRN and sideline reporter for the Tennessee Titans. Prior to that role, she served as sports anchor/reporter at WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Alabama and sideline reporter for the Atlanta Thrashers. Martin also spent time working within the Atlanta Braves organization.
A Chicago native, Martin was a two sport (softball, cheerleading) high school athlete. She went on to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Central Florida.
"This opportunity with FOX Sports North allows me to cover two of the sports that I'm most passionate about," said Martin. "I am thrilled to return to the Midwest and eager to connect with Minnesota Wild and Twins fans."
"Audra has a strong on-camera presence and notable hockey knowledge," said FOX Sports North Executive Producer Tony Tortorici. "She's a great fit for FOX Sports North, we're excited to introduce her at the start of what is sure to be an exciting hockey season and transition her to baseball coverage come spring."
