Angry Mets fans viciously mock team after Twitter account posts lineup

Published Jul. 23, 2015 3:51 p.m. ET

The Mets might want to consider not posting their lineup on Twitter every day.

To say New York's offense is weak would be an extreme understatement.

New York is last in the majors in batting average (.235) and second-to-last in runs (329), slugging percentage (.357) and OPS (.651).

To say their fans are unhappy about the light-hitting lineup would also be a severe understatement.

Thanks to a dominating rotation, the Mets sit at 49-46, but their fans are only concerned about one thing these days: adding bats and improving the lineup.

They also take every opportunity given to them to make sure the organization knows this. This means going off each and every day when the team's official Twitter account shares that day's lineup.
