Chicago White Sox:

Creating Confidence

Before Thursday's final tune-up, Carlos Rodon had a 7.98 ERA in 14.2 innings of work. Chicago then sent their young arm to face minor leaguers in Arizona. Rodon threw 108 pitches and now seems ready for his Wednesday start in Oakland.

Cleveland Indians:

Adjusting the Rotation

Tito Francona announced on Wednesday that Cody Anderson and Josh Tomlin would be the fourth and fifth starters in the Indians pitching rotation. That decision pushes Trevor Bauer to the bullpen for the time being.

Detroit Tigers:

JD Goes For Three

On Thursday, J.D. Martinez hit three home runs in the Tigers 10-6 win over the Yankees in Lakeland, Florida. After his performance, Martinez now has seven homers, 15 RBI, and a .255 AVG this spring.

Kansas City Royals:

No Concern For Kennedy

During Wednesday's spring training game against Texas, Ian Kennedy went out to pitch in the fourth inning and was removed because of hamstring tightness. Kennedy threw only 43 pitches in the three innings of work. On the bright side, Kennedy still expects to start the second game of the season for the Royals when they host the Mets.

Minnesota Twins:

Buxton's Big Play

Minnesota fans are privy to seeing spectacular plays made by their center fielder. However, now that Torii Hunter is officially retired, it's Byron Buxton's turn to patrol that space. I think the Twins will be fine in CF for awhile.
