UC Santa Barbara RHP Dillon Tate; Rangers (1st Round, 4th Overall) A product of the Urban Youth Academy in Compton, the Claremont High alum had 12 saves as the closer for UCSB in 2014. In 2015, he was the team's Friday starter. His 0.91 WHIP was in the top-20 in the nation. It was a history making year for Tate, who was the first Golden Spikes Award semifinalist in UCSB history and, as first round draft selection, is the highest draft pick in school history.

San Clemente LHP Kolby Allard; Braves (1st Round, 14th Overall) Although making just three appearances this season, the UCLA signee was still a top-15 pick. He missed most of the 2015 season with a back injury. Allard was the MVP of the Perfect Game All-American Classic at Petco Park last summer.

UCLA RHP James Kaprielian; Yankees (1st Round, 16th Overall) The Beckman High School alum's 2.06 ERA is in the top five all-time at UCLA. He's also sixth on the Bruins strikeout list with 275 in his career. Kaprielian was a 40th Round draft pick of the Seattle Mariners out of high school in 2012.

College of Southern Nevada RHP Phil Bickford; Giants (1st Round, 18th Overall The former Oaks Christian stud was selected No. 10 overall by the Blue Jays two years ago. He instead elected to go to Cal State Fullerton. After turning heads last summer, Bickford decided to transfer to a junior college instead of staying at a university in order to be eligible for this year's draft. Bickford was 9-1 with a 1.45 ERA for CSN in 2015, the same school that produced Nationals star Bryce Harper.

San Dimas RHP Peter Lambert; Rockies (2nd Round, 44th Overall) San Dimas' bid at a national championship came up just short but it wasn't because of Lambert. The UCLA commit was 13-0 with a 0.34 ERA in 2015. He struck out 113 in 83 innings.

Long Beach Wilson C Chris Betts; Rays (2nd Round, 52nd Overall) The Wilson product was thought to be a first round pick but slipped to the Rays at No. 52. Betts has signed with Tennessee but is hoping to be the 15th Wilson alum to make it to The Show.

San Clemente C Lucas Herbert; Braves (2nd Round, 54th Overall) Like his San Clemente teammate, Kolby Allard, Herbert is a UCLA commit. And like Allard, Herbert was selected by the Braves. Herbert was a 2015 Perfect Game 2nd Team All-American.

Cal Poly Pomona RHP Cody Ponce; Brewers (2nd Round, 55th Overall) The Broncos advanced to the Division II World Series thanks to Ponce. He went 5-3 with a 1.44 ERA in 2015. Ponce, a Damien alum, began making a name for himself as a top performer in the Cape Cod League last summer.

UCLA SS Kevin Kramer; Pirates (2nd Round, 62nd Overall) The Pirates recently took a pitcher out of Westwood, Gerrit Cole, and it's working out pretty well for them. Kramer was a medical redshirt in 2014. In 2015 he was second on the team with a .323 batting average. He led the team in hits and was tied for the team lead with seven home runs while starting all 61 games.

Azusa Pacific RHP Josh Staumont; Royals (2nd Round, 64th Overall) The APU product reportedly can touch double digits with his fastball. Staumont was 6-2 in 2015 with a 3.67 ERA in 13 appearances –12 of which were starts. Azusa Pacific is the same school that produced newly acquired Angels outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis.
