Marshawn Lynch questionable with abdominal injury

Running back Marshawn Lynch is questionable for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers because of an abdominal injury that has limited him the last two weeks.

Lynch first appeared on the team's injury report last Friday after tweaking a muscle at the end of a practice. Lynch was active and carried just eight times for 42 yards and a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals last week.

Lynch did not practice this week. "He's questionable with a positive bend," Carroll said Friday.

Carroll said he thinks Lynch will be able to play like he did against the Cardinals.

Wide receiver Paul Richardson will not play against San Francisco. Richardson was officially ruled out for the game after suffering a hamstring strain in last week's contest against Arizona.

Richardson was playing in his first game of the season after coming off the physically unable to perform list. He caught one pass for 40 yards and was injured on the play.

Bruce Irvin is also out for Seattle. Irvin suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee and was ruled out earlier this week.

Carroll said the team would wait to make a decision on whether to activate cornerback Jeremy Lane for this week's game.

"We're evaluating the rigor of the week and is he going to be at his best for game day. We're going to wait a little longer to figure that out," Carroll said.

Lane remains on the physically unable to perform list after suffering a torn ACL and broken arm in the Super Bowl. He has practiced the last two weeks but has yet to be activated. The team would need to clear a roster spot and add him to the roster by 1 p.m. on Saturday for him to be able to play against San Francisco
