Cam Newton to Ted Ginn Jr. for 88-yard touchdown bomb (Video)
The Oakland Raiders defense collapses, as Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton finds wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. for an outstanding 88-yard touchdown.
The Oakland Raiders may be 8-2 on the season, but will give up the big play on defense. Keep in mind that this is still a young team that second-year head coach Jack Del Rio is leading in 2016.
The Oakland defense collapses on this one play against the Carolina Panthers. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton would find his primary vertical threat in wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. over the top for an incredible 88-yard touchdown.

Carolina would bring it within a score on this vertical bomb from Newton to Ginn. Down 24-19, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera would elect to go for two to make it potentially a field goal difference. Carolina would be unsuccessful on the two-point attempt.
With the Raiders clearly being rattled since quarterback Derek Carr dislocated the pinky on his throwing hand, maybe the Panthers can take advantage in this comeback attempt? Carolina at one point trailed the Raiders, 24-7 after Khalil Mack picked him off for a touchdown.
The Panthers have to win this game to stay alive in the NFC Playoffs race. Their best chance to reach the NFC Playoffs would be by winning the NFC South. The Panthers need a win on the road in Oakland to stay only two games back of the 7-4 Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South standings.
Carolina is consistently inconsistent on offense, but will dial-up the occasion explosive play on a secondary that isn’t expecting it. Oakland is a talented football team, but doesn’t always play with great discipline in the back-end. This game is looking like it will be going down to the wire in the O.co Coliseum.
