Strong's Brackett won't attempt Martinsville

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver/owner Dale Brackett of Strong won't be making the trip to Martinsville, Va., to attempt to make his series debut as a driver.

Brackett, who was raised in Abbott, had planned on attempting to qualify for the Saturday's Kroger 200, but a lack of personnel has forced him to back out. He said his truck chief, right front tire carrier and gas man would be unable to make the trip.

Brackett attempted to qualify two races earlier this year, but failed. His team made its debut at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last month with Tim Bainey Jr. as the driver, finishing 27th.

This was to be Brackett's final attempt to qualify for a race this season. He plans on attempting more races next year.
