NASCAR: Live Weather And Race Updates From Charlotte

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

NASCAR is hoping to run the Bank of America 500 Saturday night in Charlotte but a lot of that will depend on Hurricane Matthew and the rain that he is bringing to the area.

NASCAR in Charlotte on Friday was not meant to be as the rains from Hurricane Matthew pushed the NASCAR XFINITY Series race from Friday to Sunday. The drivers of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series are hoping to have better luck as they try to run the first race of the second round of the Chase.

Throughout the day BTF will provide live weather and race updates leading up to the green flag in Charlotte or the announcement that the race is being postponed. Given the current weather outlook one has to assume that if they are able to start the race it should go the distance, of course that all depends on when the rain moves out of the area.
