NASCAR cancels Saturday Cup practices

Wet weather in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area has forced the cancellation of Saturday's Sprint Cup Series practices.

After trying to hold out for dry weather all morning, NASCAR Managing Event Director David Hoots made the cancellation official shortly after 2 p.m. ET.

Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway is scheduled to take the green flag shortly after 3 p.m. ET. Coverage of the event will begin at 2 p.m. ET on FOX.
