Light showers at Texas Motor Speedway delay start of Duck Commander 500

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 11:26 p.m. ET

Light showers at Texas Motor Speedway have forced a delay in the start of the Duck Commander 500.

With the green flag originally scheduled for 7:47 p.m. ET, rain put the green flag on hold temporarily while the Air Titans have been dispatched to dry the track.

The good news is the off-and-on showers appear to have moved through and if track drying continues, the race should get started within an hour or so of the scheduled start.

Stay tuned to FOXSports.com for updates. The race broadcast is on FOX.
