Kyle Larson faints at autograph session, taken to hospital
The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year Kyle Larson fainted toward the end of an autograph session at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday afternoon and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
A Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates official confirmed the incident and said Larson was "awake and alert on the way to the hospital."
The team official said Larson was "being checked out by doctors," but the team has "no reason to believe" he won't be in the No. 42 Target Chevrolet for Sunday's STP 500 at Martinsville.

Crew members continued working on the car in the Sprint Cup garage Saturday afternoon, but said they had no further details on Larson's condition.
In just his second full season in the Sprint Cup Series, Larson has two top 10s through the first five races of the 2015 season and currently sits 18th in the series standings.
The driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet qualified seventh for Sunday's STP 500, was eighth in Saturday's first practice session and 21st in the final session of the weekend. Larson had run a total of 110 laps during Saturday's two practice sessions.
NASCAR is in communication with team officials and waiting to see what the doctors have to say. Larson would have to be cleared by by the evaluating physicians in order to race in Sunday's STP 500, according to NASCAR officials.
As of 10 p.m. ET Saturday evening, a team spokesperson told FOX Sports 1's Alan Cavanna that Larson "checked out well" at Martinsville Memorial Hospital, however doctors "felt he should be evaluated by a neurologist."
The hospital did not have a neurologist on site, so "they decided to have Larson make the short trip to Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte to be evaluated by one."
The driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet arrived at CMC late this evening, and according to the spokesperson, "feels fine and is just awaiting final evaluation" by the neurologist.
The team hopes to have results later this evening.
Larson's status for Sunday's STP 500 at Martinsille Speedway is still up in the air, but the team remains optimistic.
